La Salle soccer can't capitalize on chances, falls in state semifinals 2-0

SHORELINE, Wash. — La Salle brought plenty of confidence into its Class 1A semifinal against Cascade, the team it beat to reach last year’s state championship.
The Lightning took control from the opening kickoff and created plenty of opportunities for its top scorers, Kamryn Fiscus and Gillian Martin. But it couldn’t find a way past Kodiaks goalkeeper Devan Archer, and it proved costly in a frustrating 2-0 loss Friday afternoon at Shoreline Stadium, snapping an 18-game winning streak.
